There should be no politics in the academe.

 At least not enforced or inspired by , it is up to the student to choose , it is through socializing he or she will prevail may be , school is the sacred ground where some people just want to learn a skill and go to work , not be driven insane or bad because someone wants to get a public office chair and master their lives for the rest of their lives , build his own tomb and fortune and we are supposed to clap because...he made it happen.
