The Girl at the end seems more to be the character in Alien Isolation with Ripley reminding more at the end of the last action act.

 She is practically naked as if awakened in such a harsh environment , biotech going manchuria and team 731 on steroids , what is quite inspiring is how the director focuses on the girl's natural sweetness because of her age while delicately exposing her femininity which or not may translate to beauty which just began as part of her own natural cycle as a teenager , the ripley elements we all figure is more nostalgia i do not believe unless an art student or a hollywood journalist will ever care more in the coming years...

Sequel will probably focus on an Aliens 1986 like scenario which again reminds on how covenant ends but frankly no matter how more exciting no alien variant can surpass Mr. Giger's work this extraterrestrial lion which can take advantage of your most primal fears and instincts and uses the DNA it harvested through breeding to turn secrets we hardly know about ourselves appear upon facing imminent death as some kind of dark apocalypse.

And yes somehow we asked for it and it is too late to take advantage of since the fucking roach is ready to eat us.
