 Movies?I am really missing the late 1970s , 1980s and all the way to mid 1990s , unless it is Sci Fi and preferably based on true hypothesis maybe dramatized i don't really download anything anymore , that is what partisanship can do i think , i am not implying good actors or scenarios do not appear every now and then but in this hell hole for media industry there seems to be no real heir to that throne , makes me doubt whether stalone is to be gone what's gonna happen! 
I am not fan of the man apart from being Italian American so i am supporting Italians by nature and all that they have gone that nuts about this online streaming thing quantity and who cares about quality milking  money all the way to china.

Take Ghostbusters for instance : 
1984 was cool , funny plot , southwestern asian pre islamic pre christian mysticism ,  cutting edge effects looking good to this very day , there is no real bad guy but what is haunting our mentality on how we see things and do we carry the BEEP to counter them in proper which may be inspired from the age of enlightenment and passing from this old worldview to this new one.

Spectral 2016 is more like ghostbusters in arms , no laughs or punchlines , protagonist reminds good old mcgyver days where he is making plasma weapons literally out of nowhere , makes your brain hurt how someone would be making tools of war that advanced in less than 12 hours by modding or rebuilding 'em out of a spoon or something against an between realities enemy who is clearly the outcome of an alien military programme gone wild and you have to stop it before it floods all over the place.

A Spectral 2016 , Ghostbusters 1984 hybrid could trace haunting stories with the ability to even kill ghosts not only arrest them until some kind of super natural court provides consensus.   

The Democrat party always was more in pop sci fi than the GOP but the message was/is nice , also occurred in Twister 1996 , gone a bit bye bye on how it was visualized how to cut a country in 2 with carl sagan's Contact whom no matter how critic about religion when dealing with hard questions he would agree religion is the science of knowing god which in fact is the same thing science is doing for the Cosmos without this approach is seeking as well.
